On January 21. 2021, Mr. Bold Ravdan, Ambassador of Mongolia to Turkey and Mrs. Gonca Yilmaz Batur, Deputy Trade Minister of Turkey signed “Memorandum of Understanding between Mongolia and the Republic of Turkey Regarding Cooperation in the Field of Free Zones” in Ankara.
As Mrs. Gonca Yilmaz Batur said, the establishment of this document will be instrumental in promoting trade and investment between Mongolia and Turkey, support long-term mutually beneficial cooperation, establish a logistic center in Mongolian free zone and introduce new technologies.
Also, here R. Bold, Ambassadorof Mongolia, stressing the importance of cooperation between two countries expressed hope that new cooperation opportunities would be opened through the free zone, such as the establishment of export-oriented joint ventures and the export of value-added products to neighboring countries. Since 1987, Turkey has established 18 free zones with an investment of $ 22 billion, including about 2,000 enterprises, of which about 500 are foreign-invested.
