VISIT OF THE WORKING GROUP OF THE MINISTRY OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND OF INDUSTRY REPUBLIC OF TUVA
On October 08, 2024, representatives headed by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Industry of the Republic of Tuva visited the "Altanbulag" free zone of the Republic of Mongolia headed by the Deputy Ministry of Economic Development and Ministry of Industry Republic of Tuva, Kongar Anzatmaa Ayas-Qiz, in the framework of strengthening interregional relations and gaining professional experience in the direction of creating a special economic zone in the Republic of Tuva.
The working group included Nurzat Ayas Orlanovich, Director General of the Tuva Republic Development Fund, Chash-ool Chechek Nikolaevna, Chief Engineer of the Fund, Chadamba Yuri Buyanovich, Acting Director of the Tuva Republic Investment Development Fund, and Geser Dordzhiev, Director of the Regional Development Fund of the Republic of Buryatia.
The purpose of the working visit was to exchange experience on the establishment of the "Altanbulag" free zone of the Republic of Mongolia and the "Khiagt Customs and Logistics Terminal" of the Republic of Buryatia, as well as to concentrate industrial units in the territory of the Republic of Tuva, located next to the Khandagait Inspection Port, which has a multilateral border, and to create favorable conditions for the development of export-oriented industry, It is planned to create a logistics and industrial hub, and to grant the status of a special economic zone "Handagait" in the territory of this project.
Administration of Altanbulag Free Zone presented the activities of the free zone and exchanged views on the advantages and experiences of the free zone.
